Today is a perfect day! After I write this post and hit publish I am heading outside to read and get some sun!
So you might have noticed in this post, that I took a picture of some new shoes. This are not just some shoes, but the best shoes I have ever put on my feet!
Working at a running store I have gotten to know the representatives of certain brands. The Brooks rep is super nice and super smart about Brooks! Well at the expo on Friday, I ran into her and we got to talking about shoes, of course, and it led to me telling her how I have tried on the Brooks PureFlows 2 but have been debating about weither or not to purchase them.
I had bought B a pair at the store, and he had been raving about them! I decided I was going to buy them, but when we got to the expo they were selling the flows for $45!! B and I ended up both buying a pair! Mine are pink and his are orange.
I think sense working at the store I have made both of us shoe freaks!
So I have been wearing the flows around for walking and some weight lifting as well. Today however was the first day that I decided to run in them. I know, I know, I know!
I know that I said I was going to take 2 whole weeks off from running, but I was really itching to get out! I just did an easy 3 mile (turned into a progressive run) and then a 2 mile walk afterwards.
While running in them, I really liked how lightweight they were and how much they felt not on my feet! It was crazy feeling!
I also really liked how the laces were off-center, I felt no pressure on the top of my foot, which is something I have experienced before. I also really liked how they had the 4m drop. I have never ran in a shoe with a 4m drop. I really enjoyed it! I was nervous to start running in a shoe lower to ground, with having knee issues, but it really worked out great. I am not sure if I could run the whole 13.1 or 26.2 in these but they are great for short little runs!
Here are some fun facts about the PureFlows 2
Overall, I loved the PureFlows 2. I can’t wait to keep putting some more miles on them!
