Personal Pan Almond Meal & Flax Seed Pizza

Good morning!

I hope you all had a wonderful start to the week yesterday! Getting back into the swing of things yesterday was pretty tough after such a great weekend, but I got through with a great sweat session and some awesome healthy food!

Yesterday I mentioned I made an almond meal and flax seed pizza for the Opening Ceremonies! It was an epic crust and I am here to share this wonderful recipe.

Almond Meal & Flax Seed Pizza {Original adapted from here}

Makes one small pizza crust

  • 3/4 cups flaxseed meal
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp natural baking powder
  • 1/2 Tbs honey
  • 1 tsp Italian mixed dried herbs
  • 1 large eggs, beaten until smooth
  • 1.5 Tbs coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup water
  1. Heat oven to 425° F.
  2. Mix together flaxseed meal, almond meal, sea salt, baking powder and Italian herbs.
  3. Beat together eggs, oil, honey and water.
  4. Pour liquid mixture into dry mixture. Mix.
  5. Press into a even shape.

  1. Place on a non-stick pizza pan.
  2. Bake for 15 minutes until cooked.
  3. Add favorite toppings and then return to the oven to bake for an additional 8-10 minutes.
  4. Enjoy!!

We add garlic chicken sausage, red and orange sweet peppers, onions and mozzarella cheese. Obviously there are thousand of other toppings that you could add but this is what we had on hand!
