Out. Of. Control. Hunger!

Good Morning!

It feels like forever sense the last time I have posted!

I started to write a post for last Friday and never got around to actually posting it, I’ll just wait till this Friday to post instead!

The past few days have been BUSY to say the least.

Thursday: Workout of 20 miles on the bike in the morning by myself and in the afternoon B and I went on another 15 to this great trail we found about 10 minutes from our house. It connects to another trail that takes you all the way to Cincinnati! That is something that we would love to do!

This was the depot where we started and it takes you to Cincinnati!

Friday: After work B and I met my parents in Columbus to go to the Hollywood Casino. We had so much fun even though we won nothing!

Saturday: We woke up bright and early to get in some P90X yoga. The DVD is 90 minutes long and we wanted to do the whole thing before work, our legs felt like jell-o the rest of the day!

Sunday: We went back to the trail we found on Thursday and I biked 27 miles while B did a 10 mile run. It was 82 degrees when we started at 8 am, and the path is not really shaded, we had a heck of a time but it was still nice. (Make sure to follow on Dailymile if you tract your workouts there!)  We ended the day with a movie and some much needed rest!

I am truly falling in love with cycling! With all the running issues, cycling has been the next best outlet. I feel if I have had a bad day I can just pound it out on the bike and pedal as hard as I would like and as fast.

The biggest difference I have noticed with turning more to cycling has been my appetite. It is out of control. I am not sure if it is because my body is not use to the cycling as much as it was to the running or I had been running for so long and I knew what worked with my body. Or maybe doing this new form of exercise I am burning different muscles, thus I get hungrier?

I have no idea, but I do have a lot of questions about it! I road biked last year, but I guess not to the extent as I have this year. Last year I was also using biking as a cross training, and this year it has really been the only form of exercise for me.

Like I said I am not 100% sure what is changing, but I am going to do some research on it today to figure out what the heck is going on!

I have some SUPER big news to share with you guys this week! I can’t say it yet, but it has been in the works sense last fall and I can share it this week so stay tuned!!!

Your turn

If you have ever changed up your exercise routine (other than training for something, i.e. marathon) have you seen an increase in your appetite?

How was your weekend?

    • Road biking is so much fun! I ride the Fuji model. It is really great for women and very light weight. I have dropped handle bars and it is so nice and easy to ride. I would totally look into this brand if you like biking!
